ROLLER SKIS: Roller skiing is an important training tool for the cross country skier. The basic skills are important to master and will be used throughout a skier's life. If you look to Scandinavia for insight, skiers are on roller skis at a very young age. This helps with the development of balance, agility, confidence and strength. Above all, it is really fun! If you are a high school student, we highly recommend you purchase a set of roller skis. Roller skis can be purchased from Revolution and Fitzharris (both St. Cloud), or Gear West and Pioneer Midwest in the Twin Cities. Email Chad Bergerson at chad.bergerson@charter.net if you are interested in purchasing roller skis through a team discount or have any questions about roller ski purchase. Recommended brands - Marwe, Swenor, IDT, Hjul, and Pursuit.
SUMMER RENTALS: We have a limited supply of rental roller skis, boots & poles, available at a first come first serve basis. Rental equipment will be distributed the first training week and collected at the final workout. (* Please note: Roller skiing is often very hard on boots and poles. Skiers renting equipment agree to take special care of the equipment AND compensate the ski club for damaged or lost equipment at full price - boots $250, poles $50, roller skis $225)
